L’ob­jec­tif de cette confé­rence est de contri­buer au dis­cours actuel sur la trans­for­ma­tion des sys­tèmes ali­men­taires afri­cains en exa­mi­nant, à tra­vers des len­tilles dia­spo­riques, la per­ti­nence des concepts de (dé)colonisation sur les sys­tèmes alimentaires.

La confé­rence cherche à démê­ler les dyna­miques his­to­riques, cultu­relles et socio-éco­no­miques qui ont façon­né l’é­tat actuel des sys­tèmes ali­men­taires afri­cains et leur impact sur le déve­lop­pe­ment du continent.

Het doel van deze confe­ren­tie is om een bij­drage te leve­ren aan het lopende debat over de trans­for­ma­tie van Afri­kaanse voed­sel­sys­te­men door met een dia­spo­rische bril te kij­ken naar de rele­van­tie van (de)kolonisatieconcepten voor voedselsystemen.

De confe­ren­tie pro­beert de his­to­rische, cultu­rele en sociaa­le­co­no­mische dyna­mie­ken te ontra­fe­len die de hui­dige staat van de Afri­kaanse voed­sel­sys­te­men heb­ben gevormd en de inv­loed ervan op de ont­wik­ke­ling van het continent.

The aim of this confe­rence is to contri­bute to the ongoing dis­course on Afri­can food sys­tem trans­for­ma­tion by exa­mi­ning through dia­spo­ric lenses, the rele­vance of (de)colonization concepts on food systems.

The confe­rence seeks to unra­vel the his­to­ri­cal, cultu­ral, and socio-eco­no­mic dyna­mics that sha­ped the cur­rent state of Afri­can food sys­tems and its impact on the continent’s development.
